About Us

The Texas A&M Cyber Security Club is a student-ran organization, providing current A&M students with the knowledge to begin a successful career in the cybersecurity field.

The objective of the A&M Cyber Security Club is to provide its members with the necessary resources to obtain technical knowledge to enter the cybersecurity workforce with a competitive advantage. We present our members with the following opportunities:

  1. To train for professional certifications
  2. To compete in various Capture the Flag (CTF) competitions and the CCDC
  3. To keep up with current, global cybersecurity events
  4. To network with guest speakers from both public and private sectors
  5. To provide a diverse knowledge-sharing forum for current and past Club members

We've provided various meeting times throughout the week to provide our members with the opportunity to attend what they'd like. The Cyber Security Club meetings are comprised of three parts:

Meetings

General Cyber Security Club Meetings

General Meetings are held weekly on Tuesdays at 6pm in ETB 1005. These meetings are reserved for certification training, interactive labs for related cybersecurity concepts, and guest speakers.

All members encouraged to attend!

Competitive Team Meetings

Competitive Team Meetings are tentatively held weekly on Fridays at 4:30pm in ETB 1005. This is the tentative meeting time and may change throughout the semester. These meetings are reserved for Capture the Flag (CTF) competition training and for the competitive Cyber Team's CCDC training.

All members encouraged to attend!

Corps of Cadets Cyber Operations Special Unit

Meetings will be held during normal training time hours, 16:30-18:00 hours Mondays and Fridays. Cadets will be trained directly on certifications and given the opportunity to earn those certifications. For more information please contact the commander for the unit or attend a meeting.

Cadets are welcome to join the Cyber Ops slack here.

These meetings are reserved solely for cadets.
